Connecticut tax sale calendar

Quick answerConnecticut tax sale timing: Set by each of Connecticut's 169 municipalities, year-round — no county or statewide sale; each town tax collector runs its own sale What is sold: Redeemable tax deeds. Registration and deposits are due before the sale — in most counties, the day before — so the list posting date matters as much as the sale date.

Verified Connecticut sale dates are added as counties publish their lists — members get them by text and email the moment they post. The sale rhythm below is from Connecticut law.

Rate / penalty: 18% per year on the total purchase price, from the date of sale (Conn. Gen. Stat. § 12-157(f))

Redemption: 6 months from the date of sale; 60 days for abandoned property or where a municipal ordinance so provides (§ 12-157(f)). The collector's deed is lodged unrecorded with the town clerk during redemption
